Join our dynamic logistics team as a Forklift Operator specializing in sit-down and stand-up forklift operations! Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, including reach trucks, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and barcode scanning equipment for logistics purposes.
- Load and unload shipments accurately, ensuring proper handling and placement of goods within the warehouse.
- Pick, pack, and organize orders using order picker equipment and warehouse management systems to meet shipping deadlines.
- Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage inventory levels by performing cycle counts, updating warehouse management systems, and maintaining accurate records of stock movements.
- Follow all OSHA and OSHA-compliant safety protocols related to forklift operation, manual handling, heavy lifting, and warehouse safety standards.
- Assist with shipping & receiving processes, including barcode scanning for logistics accuracy and documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts such as sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and lift trucks in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management practices, and materials handling procedures.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while adhering to safety standards in production environments.
- Basic math skills for order picking accuracy and inventory counting.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for shipping & receiving tasks.
- Warehouse experience including order picking, load & unload operations, and warehouse distribution processes is highly preferred.
