Journey Mental Health is a dynamic group practice of mental health practitioners located in Chattanooga, TN. We are a collaborative team that values clinical excellence, warmth, inclusivity, and the diverse perspectives of our staff and clients.
We are currently hiring a full-time Therapist/Counselor to provide therapy to individuals, couples, and/or families. The ideal candidate is a fully licensed professional who enjoys working with a variety of clients and brings a safe, affirming, flexible, and strengths-based approach to mental health care.
Therapists who work with children, teens, adults, couples, or who have specialty training or interests in areas such as EMDR, IFS, EFT, trauma-informed care, neurodiversity-affirming care, LGBTQIA+ affirming care, or other clinical specialties are encouraged to apply.
Therapist Responsibilities
· Provide therapy to individuals and/or families presenting with a variety of concerns, diagnoses, identities, and lived experiences
· Offer high-quality, compassionate, ethical, and clinically sound counseling services
· Provide counseling from a strengths-focused, affirming, and inclusive framework
· Approach neurodiversity, gender identity, sexual orientation, cultural background, and individual client needs with respect, curiosity, and care
· Maintain timely, professional communication with clients and colleagues
· Complete accurate, timely, and ethical clinical documentation
· Follow all guidelines and requirements of the applicable licensing board
· Maintain good standing with your licensing board
· Demonstrate appropriate professional boundaries with clients and colleagues
· Engage with Journey staff in a collaborative, collegial, and team-oriented manner
Education, Training, and Experience
· Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or related mental health program required
· Eligible to practice in Tennessee required
· Full licensure required (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist)
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
· Experience or interest in working with children, teens, adults, trauma, neurodiversity, or specialty modalities is a plus

Pay
Fee-for-service and additional admin pay for attending meetings/trainings. Compensation is dependent on experience level.
About the Role

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
