Nevada Youth Sports Academy (NYS) is one of Southern Nevada's fastest-growing youth sports organizations, providing affordable, high-quality programming for athletes of all skill levels.
Through leagues, tournaments, camps, clinics, and community events, NYS serves hundreds of athletes and families annually while creating meaningful opportunities for future sports industry professionals.
We are seeking motivated, energetic, and dependable individuals who want hands-on experience in sports management, event operations, facility administration, youth programming, and
nonprofit leadership.
Position Summary:
The Sports Operations Intern will work directly with NYS leadership to support facility
operations, youth sports programming, tournaments, special events, and administrative
initiatives.
This internship offers practical, real-world experience and is ideal for students or recent

Event and Program Operations
Assist with setup and breakdown of leagues, camps, clinics, practices, and tournaments.
Support athlete registration, check-in, and participant communication.
Assist with game-day and tournament operations.
Help prepare schedules, event materials, awards, and operational documents.
Ensure events run efficiently and provide a positive participant experience.
Facility Operations
Conduct facility walkthroughs to ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety.
Assist with court setup, net adjustments, and equipment management.
Support inventory tracking and supply organization.
Help maintain a welcoming environment for athletes, families, coaches, and visitors.

Administrative Support
Assist with data entry, attendance tracking, and record keeping.
Support customer service inquiries by phone, email, and in person.
Assist with preparation of reports, flyers, registration materials, and operational resources.
Help create and schedule social media content and event promotions.
Leadership Development
Participate in planning meetings and operational discussions.
Gain exposure to budgeting, scheduling, event planning, and program management.
Learn the day-to-day operations of a youth sports facility and nonprofit organization.
Shadow experienced leaders within the sports industry.
Preferred Qualifications
Current college student or recent graduate.
Interest in sports management, business, marketing, communications, recreation,
education, or a related field.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
Reliable transportation.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Ability to stand, walk, and assist with light lifting during events.
Professional demeanor when interacting with athletes, families, coaches, and community
partners.
Flexible with working at different sites.
