The Job
The HVAC II's major responsibility is to ensure the proper operation, performance and reliability of mechanical equipment, systems and structures.
The Daily
- The HVAC Technician will practice preventative maintenance, test and check-out new and existing equipment, complete necessary repairs, anticipate risks and plan resources to complete each task, and properly tag and secure equipment before maintenance or repair work is performed.
- The HVAC Tech will travel to various locations throughout the metro Atlanta area.
- Conditions encountered may include extremes in temperature, dust, and noise levels which may require special protective devices and/or clothing.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned by the HVAC Manager or Director of Engineering.
- Proper attire, including but not limited to blue or black cargo/ work pants, company shirt and proper footwear, is required.
The Essentials
- You must have at least 3-4 years of practical HVAC experience and possess a detailed working knowledge of mechanical and electrical components, systems, and structures, tools, test instruments, and proper procedures for installation and repair of equipment including steam, hot water, chilled water, air conditioning, and general facilities care and cleaning.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Universal EPA preferred not required
