Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our team in residential and commercial painting. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes across residential and commercial projects. Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality
- Execute painting tasks using various techniques including brushwork, hand tools, conventional spray painting, airless paint spraying, and power tools to achieve desired textures and effects
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and schematics to accurately follow project specifications and color schemes based on visual color comparison and color theory principles
- Perform surface preparation for construction painting projects such as renovation, restoration, or new builds on diverse materials including stucco, masonry, concrete finishing, and framing
- Apply coatings to both interior and exterior surfaces in residential, commercial, industrial settings while complying with safety regulations including respiratory protection and proper handling of hazardous materials
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools like hand tools, scaffolding equipment and ensuring all safety protocols are followed during operations
Skills
- Strong knowledge of color theory for effective color matching and aesthetic consistency across projects
- Proficiency in residential painting techniques along with commercial and industrial surface coating applications
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, spray equipment (including airless sprayers), scaffolding setup and masonry tools for surface preparation and finishing
- Deep understanding of construction site experience including blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and renovation plans
- Expertise in construction painting surface preparation such as sanding, scraping, caulking (including fixture installation), plastering, stucco application, masonry work, framing carpentry & trim carpentry
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction painting environments including respiratory protection measures and hazard awareness
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations accurately
- Experience with maintenance tasks related to building upkeep or remodeling projects involving drywall repair or fixture installation
- Familiarity with schematics for industrial or specialized coatings as well as restoration projects requiring meticulous attention to detail
