We're hiring a Salon & Spa Host to be the face of our award-winning Aveda salon in Utica Square. This is a front-of-house role where your personality, attention to detail, and ability to master our booking systems are just as important as your love of beauty. High performers here become trusted advisors to our guests and key contributors to our retail and service sales goals.
Daytime, evening, and weekend availability required.
What you'll do
- Greet every guest with warmth and intention: you set the tone for their entire experience the moment they walk through the door
- Own the reservation system: schedule, confirm, and manage appointments with precision, keeping the team's day running on time
- Handle a high volume of inbound calls and booking requests quickly and accurately, answering questions about services and pricing with confidence
- Actively retail Aveda products by listening to guests' needs and making personalized, knowledgeable recommendations
- Stay current on Aveda's full product line — new launches, features, and benefits — so recommendations are always credible and compelling
- Process transactions accurately using point-of-sale software, handling cash, card, and other payment types
- Keep the reception area and retail displays immaculate and visually appealing at all times
- Collaborate closely with stylists, spa service providers, and other team members to coordinate seamless guest experiences
- Support general salon upkeep including cleanliness, organization, and inventory control

Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, front desk, receptionist, retail, or hospitality roles — salon or spa experience is a strong plus
- Comfortable using reservation/booking systems and point-of-sale software (we'll train you on ours, but familiarity matters)
- Passion for the beauty industry and genuine curiosity about Aveda products and the people who love them
- Proven track record of showing up on time, following through, and doing excellent work without being micromanaged
