Certification requirements:
Contractor shall possess a current certificate of completion from a certified Medical Assistant training program for all Medical Assistants (MA) assigned to this contract. Additionally, Contractor must demonstrate prior experience working in the healthcare field. Qualifications/ Skills:
Contractor shall provide customer service, clerical support, data entry, and basic bookkeeping functions for PCPHSD clinical programs and perform duties within scope of authority and training and in compliance with PCPHSD policies. This shall include but not limited to the following tasks:
Job description / scope of work:
- Provide information and assistance to clients, assist customers with applications, government forms, and other documents and explain PCPHSD policies and procedures.
- Review applications and other documents for compliance with rules and regulations.
- Review and update files and distribute related paperwork and maintain records and filing systems.
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct callers to the correct person or work group and take messages and relays as necessary.
- Perform cashier duties in accordance with standard office procedures and County policies, receive andrecord payments, prepare and issue receipts, and balance daily work and monies received.
- Provide educational material and personalized information to clients during pre-screening procedures.
- Assist providers with patient care, obtain vital signs, collect and document medical histories, and perform sexually transmitted infection (STI) screenings and pregnancy tests under provider supervision.
- Assist clients to access other healthcare and community services programs.
- Assist professional staff with clinic setup and patient examinations as directed.
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
