Are you a leader who loves the fast-paced world of retail and food service? DAK’s Markets is looking for a high-energy Assistant Store Manager to join our leadership team. This isn’t a "sit-in-the-office" kind of job—we are looking for a working manager who leads by example, whether that’s crushing a rush in the kitchen, merchandising the sales floor, or coaching a team member to greatness.
At DAK’s, we offer a unique environment where you might take "ownership" of a specific business unit—like our C-Store operations or our integrated food brands (think Church’s, Sbarro, or Krispy Krunchy). If you are ready to take the next step in your management career, we want to talk to you.

Lead the Floor: Act as the Manager-on-Duty, overseeing everything from the fuel pumps to the kitchen.
Drive the Team: Supervise, train, and coach Shift Leads and Associates to deliver legendary service.
Own the Results: Manage inventory, minimize waste, and ensure the store is stocked, clean, and profitable.
Manage the Money: Oversee daily cash reconciliation, bank deposits, and safe audits.
Stay Compliant: Ensure 100% compliance with food safety (HACCP), alcohol/tobacco laws, and fuel regulations.
Experience: 2+ years in retail, C-store, or restaurant environments, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
The "Working Manager" Mindset: You aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves and jump into any task to help your team.
Stamina: You’re comfortable being on your feet for 8–10+ hours and can lift up to 50 lbs.
Flexibility: You’re available to work nights, weekends, and holidays to support the business.
Certifications: You have (or can get within 30 days) a ServSafe Manager certification and state-required alcohol/tobacco training.
Tech Savvy: You’re comfortable with POS systems, fuel consoles, and back-office software.
We provide a dynamic workplace where no two days are the same. You’ll gain experience in multi-unit management, high-volume food service, and retail operations—all under one roof.
