Job Description:
Easterseals NH is looking for a Director of Nursing to join our team! In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing healthcare and psychiatric services across the program through supervision, training, and oversight.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the administrative functions of the nursing department, assessment of delivery of health care, interviewing and hiring of appropriate staff and processing separations.

Provide supervision and performance evaluations of all nursing department staff.

Provide a teaching atmosphere in the milieu including CPR, First Aid, medication administration, infection control and individual-specific medical issues.

Assure regular and complete communication updates to all clinical staff including all required documentation.

Oversee pharmacy services.

Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement through oversight of medical records review, medical incident report review and initiate corrective action where needed.

Assist clients to meet health, nutrition and personal care needs as required.

Be an active member of the individual’s treatment team. Participate in planning and implementation of plans in milieu, attending all meetings as required.

Ensure compliance with state certification and licensing standards, agency policies, other governing agency guidelines and contractual obligations.

Director of Nursing, Residential and Educational Services (DRNRES)

Provide direction and oversight to staff for the medical component of care consistent with the state regulations, guardians, physicians, and other consulting staff.

Provide oversight of scheduling all medical and dental appointments and ensure follow-through with staff, and follow up treatment as ordered.

Manage infection control policies and procedures.

Participate in the review of referrals into programs.

Maintain documentation and prepare reports as required by program policy.
About the Program
Easterseals residential facilities provide 24-hour support to youth ages 5-21 with neurological or psychiatric disabilities, intellectual and behavioral needs. Our programs are designed to meet the unique needs of each child and their family through individualized care and therapeutic interventions.
Qualifications:

Bachelors of Science in Nursing from an accredited college, Master’s Degree preferred

Active RN or NP license in New Hampshire or a multistate Compact RN or NP license permitting practice in New Hampshire

Six (6) years’ nursing experience including supervisory or leadership responsibilities

Minimum two (2) years working with individuals with developmental or psychiatric disorders or equivalent

Administrative experience preferred

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Hours: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm. On-call is required.
Compensation: $120,000 – $130,000 annually, based on licensure and experience.
