Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and energetic bartender to join our team at our Italian restaurant. As a bartender, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and lively atmosphere while delivering high-quality beverages and genuine hospitality that reflects the spirit of Italian culture.
From crafting classic cocktails to recommending wines and aperitivi, your goal is to ensure every guest enjoys a memorable experience at the bar and in the dining room.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly at the bar and provide attentive, friendly service
- Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency and quality
- Maintain strong knowledge of the bar menu, including Italian wines, spirits, and classic cocktails
- Make recommendations and upsell beverages, including wine pairings and specialty drinks
- Take and process orders using Toast POS accurately and efficiently
- Ensure the bar is clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times
- Follow proper drink recipes, portion control, and presentation standards
- Monitor guest satisfaction and handle any concerns professionally
- Assist servers with drink tickets in a timely manner during service
- Follow all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience required; upscale or Italian restaurant experience preferred
- Knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, and spirits; Italian wine knowledge is a plus
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with upselling and engaging with guests
- Positive attitude, reliability, and team-oriented mindset
