We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. `Responsibilities`
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Take dental x-rays for diagnosis
- Perform dental receptionist duties as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical record systems
- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
```Requirements```
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
- Current certification as a Dental Assistant
- Proficiency in dental coding and terminology
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices
- Experience with taking dental x-rays and using dental software (Dentrix and Dexis)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
