Full job description
I am seeking an experienced Illinois family law attorney to handle a contested divorce on a flat-fee basis. This is a single-matter, contract-based engagement. The ideal candidate is a seasoned litigator who has experience handling Illinois Cook County family law cases from filing through judgment.
Scope of engagement:
- Full contested divorce proceedings, including parenting time/allocation of parental responsibilities, child support, maintenance, and division of marital property
- Discovery, motion practice, hearings, and trial as needed
- Appeals, if any arise (flat fee)
Required qualifications:
- Licensed and in good standing in Illinois
- At least 5 years of Illinois family law experience handling contested matters, preferably in Cook County
- Demonstrated experience litigating earning-capacity / imputed-income issues, including voluntary underemployment, vocational expert testimony, and cases involving professional credentials and prior job offers
- Strong written and oral advocacy
- Responsive communication and ability to work independently
Compensation: Flat fee. Please provide a quote with a clearly defined scope, stating what the fee covers and what falls outside it.
