Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Server/Bartender to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and mixology, with the ability to create memorable experiences for our guests. This role requires a strong understanding of beverage preparation, food safety, and exceptional guest relations skills. Experience in fine dining or nightlife settings is preferred, but not necessary. Must be willing to work weekends if needed. Wage + Tips.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit.
- Utilize CAKE POS system for order entry and payment processing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room & bar area, adhering to sanitation standards.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality control of food items.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
- Support hosting & bussing duties as needed to maintain a clean dining environment and satisfied guests.
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous serving or bartending experience in a restaurant, nightclub, or fine dining setting is highly desirable, but can train the right individual.
- Strong knowledge of beverage preparation techniques, wine knowledge and food handling practices encouraged.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Proficient in using POS systems such as Aloha or Micros; familiarity with CAKE is a plus.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional appearance.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation is an advantage.
