Job Summary
Hencetek Staffing is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join a well-established Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitation services that help patients improve mobility, restore function, and regain independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, transfers, and mobility programs.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient progress and treatment responses.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercise programs, mobility techniques, and injury prevention.
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
- Active California PTA License (or eligible).
- Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred).
- Previous Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused approach.
