Full Job Description

Nimbus Health is looking for a Clinical Research Coordinator to support clinical research operations at our practice. Nimbus Health supports pulmonary, sleep medicine, and clinical research services across multiple clinic locations. Our team is focused on providing high-quality patient care, strong clinical coordination, and reliable support for providers, patients, sponsors, and care teams.

The Clinical Research Coordinator will be responsible for supporting day-to-day clinical trial activities, ensuring protocol compliance, maintaining accurate study documentation, and coordinating with patients, investigators, sponsors, and internal team members.

Job Responsibilities

A Clinical Research Coordinator must perform the following effectively:

Recruit, screen, and enroll participants
Obtain participant informed consent
Obtain medical history
Perform medical record review
Schedule tests and procedures as required by protocol
Collect research data as required by protocol, including vitals, ECG, phlebotomy, spirometry, questionnaires, and other study-related data
Ensure accuracy of documentation and data entry
Ensure data entry and query resolution are completed within the sponsor’s expected timeframe
Account for receipt, dispensing, and collection of investigational product, study supplies, and equipment
Maintain databases, electronic medical records, and research charts
Maintain and update enrollment logs
Report safety information within the expected timeframe to the sponsor and ethics board
Conduct in-services to train fellow staff members
Cooperate with sponsors and regulatory agencies
Communicate effectively with subjects, sponsors, fellow staff members, and management
Record adverse events and medication changes
Provide patient education
Maintain CPR, OSHA, and HIPAA compliance
Perform job tasks in accordance with Good Clinical Practice and Human Subjects Protection standards
Inform the Investigator of safety concerns to ensure oversight and patient safety are provided
Attend staff meetings and trial in-services
Create and maintain source documents to support protocol adherence
Communicate and submit reviews with the ethics committee based on their requirements
Maintain proficiencies, certifications, and trainings required for protocols and sponsor requirements

Study coordinators may also be asked to maintain regulatory documents as a lead on a trial or address correspondence during the duration of a trial. If study coordinators have access to IRB sites, they may be asked to submit IRB documents during the course of a trial. Regulatory and study start-up activities are typically handled by the site director.

Some study coordinators may also be assigned to maintain and update temperature logs during the week. These coordinators are expected to properly maintain the logs and document excursions according to sponsor directives.

Study protocols

Trial management

Qualifications

General knowledge of laboratory and medical terminology, tests, procedures, and collection
Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and calculating percentages
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
Ability to follow protocols, timelines, and sponsor requirements
Ability to communicate professionally with patients, sponsors, investigators, staff, and management
Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain organized study records
Previous clinical research experience is preferred
Experience with electronic medical records or clinical research systems is a plus

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
