MAIN FUNCTION: Administrative experience within a healthcare system. REQUIREMENTS: 1 year of OR Scheduling experience.

1.1 Contacts patients to schedule surgical procedures in a courteous and professional manner. 2.1 Verifies receipt of medical and/or cardiac clearance.

Contacts insurance company to obtain pre-certification of surgeries based on booking sheet and documents in chart. Scan all necessary clinical documents.

Promptly and professionally answers telephone calls. Provides general clerical support for the office and assist the practice manager as needed.

Required: MS Outlook, Excel, data entry, excellent communication (verbal and written), Medical office experience. Reports into the Practice Administrator.
