With your strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies, you use various kinds of hand, electronic, and pneumatic tooling.

High school diploma or equivalent required; formal toolmaking apprenticeship, trade school, or technical certification preferred. Pay: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour.

Builds or repairs components for existing tools and molds through the use of tool room equipment, using designs created by the engineering department.

Certificates & Licenses: Valid driver’s license required; Must pass and maintain written and driving test for forklift certification as well as crane training.

Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings using CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD to develop detailed tool and die designs.

$25 - $35 an hour

Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD/CAM files, and technical documentation to bring innovative designs to life. Ability to operate personal computer.
