Full Job Description

Dental Receptionist

We are committed to providing our patients with a comfortable, dignified, and efficient experience at our dental office.

Our Dental Receptionist will provide friendly, efficient, compassionate care to our patients in a friendly and professional environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service orientation and will be able to perform a variety of administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, checking insurance claims, answering phones, etc. This position will also be responsible for assisting with patient referral and pre-authorization. We are looking for a person who is passionate about customer service and who wants to work for a great company where everyone works together to create great customer experiences.

Responsibilities and Requirements include:

*Has prior front dental office experience two or more years.

*Able to check patients in and out. Reviewing treatment plans and financial information.

* Must be prompt to work, professional appearance, courteous attitude with patients and dental team.

*Excellent communication skills verbally and written, in-person and on the phone.

*Computer skills and literacy on basic applications and Dentrix software are mandatory.

*Knowledgeable in verifying insurance benefits, scheduling appointments, referrals, dental codes, billings and EOBs.

* An understanding of dental insurances, including Medicare and Medicaid.

*Need to know how to send and read pre-authorization.

*Can multitask and be adaptable to take on other duties.

*Provide three professional job references

Job Schedule: Full-time (Monday-Thursday, Friday half day front desk)
