Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Manager to lead the installation and training of our NCR Aloha Point of Sale (POS) solutions for the hospitality industry. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and restaurant operations experience to ensure seamless deployments and customer satisfaction.

As a Project Manager, you will coordinate multiple POS implementation projects, from planning and setup to on-site training and support. You will work closely with restaurant owners, managers, and staff to optimize their POS systems and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Coordination:

Oversee and manage all aspects of Aloha POS installations and deployments.
Work with internal teams and customers to define project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Maintain clear communication with customers regarding project status, risks, and expectations.

Technical Implementation & Support:

Configure and program the NCR Aloha POS software suite, including menu setup and customization.
Perform on-site installation of POS terminals, peripherals (printers, card readers, kitchen display systems), and networking components.
Provide technical training to restaurant staff on system usage and troubleshooting.
Deliver on-site "go-live" support, ensuring a smooth transition for customers.
Assist with troubleshooting and resolving escalated issues during and after deployment.

Customer Engagement & Training:

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct hands-on training sessions to empower users with best practices.
Build strong relationships with clients by providing proactive guidance and post-installation support.

Process Improvement & Documentation:

Maintain detailed project documentation, including checklists, installation guides, and troubleshooting records.
Continuously refine implementation processes for greater efficiency.
Provide feedback to internal teams on customer needs and potential product enhancements.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

2+ years of experience in project management, preferably in POS system deployments or related IT implementation projects.
Restaurant industry experience, preferably in management or operations.
Hands-on experience with NCR Aloha POS software (or equivalent POS systems).
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking fundamentals, and POS hardware.
Ability to troubleshoot POS hardware issues, including terminals, printers, and card readers.
Excellent communication, leadership, and time management skills.
Ability to travel frequently within the Eastern U.S. for project deployments.

Preferred:

Familiarity with cloud-based POS systems and remote deployment tools.
Certifications in Project Management (PMP, CAPM) or IT-related fields.
Experience working with small business owners or corporate hospitality clients.

Additional Requirements:

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift and transport hardware components (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
Ability to handle loud and fast-paced restaurant environments while performing training or installations.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends, based on project needs.
Must be willing to travel overnight and out-of-state occasionally.
