Sr. Structural Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead the design and analysis of complex structural systems across a diverse portfolio of projects. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality structural solutions that align with safety, sustainability, and performance standards. As a senior member of the team, you will take ownership of projects, mentor engineers, and serve as a key point of contact for clients.

Key Responsibilities

Lead structural analysis and design for complex projects including commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities
Act as the primary technical authority, guiding structural design decisions from initial concept through construction completion
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical oversight and professional development support
Collaborate closely with architects, mechanical and electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure well-integrated design solutions
Prepare and review detailed drawings, calculations, and specifications using Revit and AutoCAD
Conduct site visits and inspections to verify compliance with design intent, building codes, and safety standards
Present design concepts and technical findings to clients and stakeholders, incorporating feedback and managing revisions
Review and stamp structural drawings and documentation in accordance with applicable codes and licensure requirements
Stay current with evolving industry codes, standards, and emerging structural engineering technologies

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering or equivalent
Active Professional Engineer license
8+ years of experience in structural design and analysis
Demonstrated experience managing structural projects from concept through construction administration
Proficiency in RISA, Revit, and AutoCAD
Strong knowledge of building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC, and NDS
Experience designing with multiple material systems such as steel, concrete, wood, and masonry
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently lead client-facing discussions
