Schedule: 12-Hour Night Shifts | 7 Shifts Per Two-Week Pay Period | Alternating Weekends Required
Work Setting: In-Person (Hospitals, Recovery Center, and Donor Service Area)

Salary: $141,974.56 – $156,549.12 per year
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse to join a mission-driven transplant services team dedicated to saving and improving lives through organ donation and transplantation.
In this highly specialized role, you will provide direct medical management of organ donors in ICU and recovery center settings, ensuring optimal organ function and viability for transplantation. This position offers a unique opportunity to utilize advanced critical care skills while making a profound impact on patients and donor families.
Comprehensive training will be provided at the organization's base office prior to independent assignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all aspects of the organ donation and procurement process from referral through organ recovery.
- Provide direct clinical management of authorized organ donors.
- Perform comprehensive donor assessments, hemodynamic monitoring, and physiologic management.
- Manage ventilators, vasoactive medications, fluid resuscitation, and critical care interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians, transplant centers, hospital staff, and recovery teams.
- Coordinate organ allocation, transportation, recovery logistics, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and clinical protocols.
- Support donor families throughout the donation process in partnership with family support teams.
- Participate in hospital education programs and community outreach initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Qualifications Required:
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) program.
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Critical Care/ICU nursing experience.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, weekends, and travel throughout the service area.
