Full Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a growing landscaping leader to assist in overseeing the operations and growth of our landscaping business. In this developmental role as an Associate Branch Manager, while simultaneously managing the Branch along with your Branch Manager you will also be responsible for expanding your skill set leading and managing all aspects of a Landscape Maintenance branch, including people / team management, customer service, sales, operations, and financial performance. You will help drive business growth, ensure client satisfaction, and uphold the company's standards of quality and professionalism. $2 million -$5 million

Responsibilities:

Safety - Create a Zero-Harm Work Environment:

Ensure compliance with national, local, and organizational health and safety regulations and policies.
Uphold, promote, and monitor the safety culture created by the Branch Manager, ensuring a safe working environment. Ensure proper PPE use through regular inspections. Conduct regular safety meetings and implement safety training programs.
Investigate and report any incidents or accidents, taking appropriate corrective actions, and working toward a zero-harm workplace.

Leadership and Team Management:

Lead, mentor, and motivate assigned team of sales and operations.
Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
Foster a positive and collaborative culture and work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
Delegate responsibilities, coordinate tasks, and monitor team performance to achieve branch objectives.

Client Relationship Management:

Maintain a book of business ~$500,000+ in Annual Contract Value (ACV)
Serve as a point of contact for key clients, building and nurturing strong, trust-based relationships.
Understand client needs, preferences, and goals, and align our services to meet their requirements.
Conduct regular meetings with clients to provide updates, address concerns, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
Actively seek client feedback and take proactive measures to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.

Business Development and Sales:

Assist in developing and executing business development strategies to drive maintenance and ancillary revenue growth and expand the client base.
Identify market opportunities, target clients, and develop relationships with key stakeholders.
Collaborate with the sales team to develop sales plans, set targets, and monitor progress.
Participate in client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to secure new contracts and maintain client satisfaction.

Health and Safety Compliance:

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Promote and monitor a safe working environment, conduct regular safety meetings, and implement safety training programs.
Investigate and report any incidents or accidents, taking appropriate corrective actions, and working toward a zero-harm workplace.

Operational Excellence:

Oversee assigned, key operational activities of the branch, including project management, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Ensure the successful execution of landscape maintenance and landscaping projects through a “Go & See” mentality, ensuring the delivery of client-determined quality standards, and meeting overall client expectations.
Monitor project timelines, budgets, and profitability, taking proactive measures to address any issues or risks.
Implement and maintain efficient processes, systems, and playbook procedures to optimize productivity and customer service, while seeking to continuously improve.

Financial Performance Management:

Assist in the development and management of the branch budget, ensuring financial targets are met.
Learn how to read the P&L, and along with the budget, use it to monitor and analyze financial performance of the branch, identifying areas for Direct / Indirect and SG&A cost savings and revenue growth.
Collaborate with the Branch Manager, Office staff and branch teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Review and approve client invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely billing, and timely payment receipt.

Reporting and Communication:

Assist in ensuring the timely completion of reports on branch performance, including sales, operations, and financial metrics.
Communicate effectively with senior management, providing updates, insights, and recommendations.
Collaborate with other branches and departments to share best practices and ensure consistency across the organization.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, or a related field preferred; and moving toward a Bachelor’s degree in order to move up to the next level of Branch Manager.
Proven experience (3+ years) in a leadership or management role, preferably in the landscaping or related service industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Proficiency in CRM software, project management tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Suite products.
Solid understanding of landscaping principles, materials, and practices.
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
Proficiency in project management, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance.
Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and achieve targets.
Results-driven with a customer-centric mindset.

Pay: $92,000.00 - $102,000.00 per year
