Position: Full-Time
Total Compensation: $130,000–$160,000 base salary, commensurate with experience, plus performance-based bonus and competitive benefits package.

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead our accounting operations and help shape the financial strategy of our growing company.
Position Summary
The Corporate Controller will oversee all accounting operations across our multi-location hospitality business while serving as the primary steward of the general ledger, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance. This hands-on leadership role partners closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to improve processes, drive operational efficiencies, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support strategic growth.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing strategic financial leadership with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, operationally focused environment.
The ideal candidate has experience in hospitality, hotels, restaurants, catering, event venues, private clubs, or another multi-location service-based business where labor management, inventory, vendor relationships, and operational cost controls are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations & Reporting
- Oversee all daily accounting operations across multiple venue locations, including billing, accounts receivable (A/R), accounts payable (A/P), and the general ledger.
- Prepare and publish timely, accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage and execute the month-end and year-end close processes efficiently.
- Ensure strict quality control over all financial transactions and financial reporting.
Operational Efficiency & Cost Management
- Identify inefficiencies and drive cost-saving initiatives across all venue locations without compromising event quality.
- Lead negotiations with essential vendors, contractors, and suppliers to secure favorable pricing, terms, and service agreements.
- Track expenditures, analyze variances, and provide financial reporting to support strategic decision-making.
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Develop, document, and implement business processes, accounting policies, and guidelines to maintain and strengthen internal controls across all locations.
- Act as the primary financial liaison with our external tax firm, ensuring all QuickBooks Online data is fully reconciled, accurate, and delivered efficiently for tax preparation.
- Review tax returns prepared by the external firm for accuracy and ensure timely payments for all local, state, and federal tax obligations.
- Develop internal control policies specifically for petty cash, credit management, and inventory accounting.
Leadership & Team Development
- Manage, mentor, and train bookkeeping and accounting staff, ensuring high performance and accuracy.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and objective insights regarding historical data to support management and strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2–3 years as an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or Controller.
- Experience within a multi-location business model (hospitality, events, restaurants, hotels, catering, private clubs, or property management) is strongly preferred.
- Experience managing accounting operations across multiple locations is highly desirable.
- Advanced degree in Accounting.
- Active CPA or CMA designation is highly preferred.
- Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required. Candidates must know the platform inside and out, especially tracking and reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically highly advanced Excel skills, including XLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and complex nested formulas.
- Thorough mastery-level knowledge of GAAP, accounting principles, procedures, general ledger functions, and financial statement creation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent communication and leadership abilities.
