Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, and aseptic techniques, particularly in a hospital or critical care setting.

Duties

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
Perform medication administration under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.
Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles.
Prepare IV infusions following established protocols and aseptic techniques.
Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards.
Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns related to medications.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Keep the pharmacy area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.

Skills

Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and procedures.
Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to pharmacy practice.
Experience with IV infusion preparation and administration.
Familiarity with critical care environments is preferred.
Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction.
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in medication dispensing.
Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
