Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Manufacturing Controller to lead financial operations within multiple plant locations. This pivotal role combines technical accounting expertise with strategic financial management to ensure accurate reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, inventory accounting, cost accounting and efficient cash flow management. The Manufacturing Controller will oversee all aspects of financial accounting, including general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, and financial analysis, supporting the organization’s growth and operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to influence key financial processes and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all manufacturing-related accounting functions, ensuring inventory and cost accounting are all in order and accurate across 10+ locations
Lead the preparation of accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, aligned with regulatory reporting standards.
Conduct detailed account reconciliation processes such as general ledger reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and account analysis to maintain data integrity.
Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Oversee payroll processing and ensure adherence to applicable tax laws and regulations.
Implement effective cash management strategies to optimize liquidity and support operational needs.
Utilize financial software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to streamline accounting workflows.
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support strategic decision-making within the manufacturing division.
Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation related to governmental accounting standards and nonprofit accounting practices if applicable.
Develop comprehensive financial reports that communicate complex concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Experience
Proven experience in corporate manufacturing accounting or a similar environment with a focus on governmental or nonprofit sectors preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, SOX compliance requirements, and regulatory reporting standards.
Demonstrated expertise in technical accounting areas such as double entry bookkeeping, general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and financial analysis.
Hands-on experience with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms; proficiency in financial management tools is essential.
Familiarity with budgeting processes, forecasting techniques, cash flow management, and financial report writing.
Experience managing accounts payable/receivable functions along with payroll processing is highly desirable.
Excellent understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and account reconciliation procedures.
Strong analytical skills combined with exceptional attention to detail; ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
Effective communication skills for preparing detailed reports and collaborating across departments; prior experience working within regulated environments is advantageous. Salary based off of experience up to $160K + 15% Bonus potential
