<h1>Description</h1>Summary:The IS Technical Specialist provides technical and consultative support on the most complex technical matters. Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Analyzes, designs, and develops systems based upon user specifications. </li><li>Provides technical assistance in solving hardware or software problems. </li><li>Possesses an in-depth knowledge of and works with the technical tools available for systems development and support.</li><li>Maintains and demonstrates knowledge of technical industry trends, particularly as they apply to Huntington. </li><li>May assist with identifying training needs or with training of less experienced staff. </li><li>May serve as project leader for specific projects.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree</li><li>5+ years of related experience or an additional 4 years of related work experience may be considered in lieu of the Bachelor's Degree</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Fluent with modern version of Java and have used it in wide backend applications</li><li>Strong experience in J2EE technologies</li><li>Strong experience in Spring Framework, Web services (REST/SOAP), Spring Boot / Micro Services with Angular</li><li>Experience in Swagger, Maven, Eclipse, Jenkins, GIT, Postman/Newman</li><li>Experience in Cloud technologies (AWS/GCP), preferably in GCP</li><li>A banking industry background is a plus</li><li>Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills</li><li>Experience working in multi-platform environment</li><li>Ability to balance both development and support roles</li><li>Strong analytical, strong troubleshooting skills and excellent communication skills</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills, focus on customer service, and the ability to work well with other IT, vendor, and business groups</li><li>Experience in working on projects that involve business segments</li><li>Expertise with relational database schema design and maintenance.</li><li>Ability to understand and write code documentation that conveys your solution to others.</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot and optimize application for security and responsiveness.</li></ul> Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay)YesWorkplace Type:OfficeOur Approach to Office Workplace TypeCertain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement.
