Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team within Global Trading at ExxonMobil. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in both front-end and back-end development, with a focus on building and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications. This role involves close collaboration with the Global Trading Quantitative Analytics team to develop data products, models, and visualizations that support trading operations.
The role requires strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills, along with the ability to manage workload under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and learn new technologies and methodologies quickly.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using modern frameworks and technologies
- Collaborate with the Quantitative Analytics team to build data products, models, and visualizations
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance front-end and back-end solutions
- Maintain code quality, organization, and automation processes
- Build, operate, and support robust databases and data pipelines
- Optimize web applications for performance, security, and scalability
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative trading solutions
- Adapt to evolving business needs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Required Qualifications

- Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies
- Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks such as React or Angular
- Strong back-end development experience using Node.js, Python, or similar languages
- Experience developing and maintaining web applications using modern frameworks
- Experience with database systems such as SQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly in trading operations
- Understanding of market data, trading systems, and financial instruments
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies
- Strong SQL proficiency and experience with database management systems
- Experience in building and optimizing data models, indexing, and query performance
- Proficiency in Python (preferred)
- Experience with front-end frameworks (React preferred) and full-stack development
- Familiarity with Databricks and Snowflake
- Strong understanding of web performance optimization, security, and best practices
