Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Data Center Construction Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of complex infrastructure projects within data center environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee large-scale construction initiatives, manage multidisciplinary teams, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in strict compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, extensive experience with data center or similar infrastructure projects, and proficiency with industry-specific software tools. Your leadership will drive project success from inception through completion, ensuring seamless integration of all construction phases.

Duties

Lead the planning and execution of data center construction projects, including site development, structural build-outs, electrical and mechanical systems installation, and infrastructure upgrades.
Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management software to coordinate all phases of construction activities.
Manage project budgets by overseeing cost estimates, tracking expenses, and implementing cost control measures to optimize resource utilization.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project specifications are met accurately and efficiently.
Review blueprints, schematics, Civil 3D models, and construction drawings to verify design intent and facilitate smooth construction workflows.
Monitor construction site activities for safety compliance, quality standards, and adherence to regulatory requirements; conduct regular site inspections.
Utilize construction estimating tools such as HeavyBid for accurate cost forecasting and resource planning.
Oversee procurement processes including contracts management and ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment.
Drive project scheduling efforts by managing critical path activities and resolving schedule conflicts proactively.
Implement construction management software solutions like ProCore or Bluebeam for documentation control, progress tracking, and communication across teams.
Lead managing teams in a construction management role by providing clear direction, mentorship, and performance feedback.
Ensure all work aligns with industry standards for construction regulatory compliance while maintaining a focus on safety protocols at all times.

Experience

Proven experience managing large-scale data center or complex infrastructure construction projects from start to finish.
Extensive knowledge of construction scheduling techniques using Primavera P6 or equivalent tools.
Strong background in civil engineering principles with proficiency in Civil 3D modeling.
Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets effectively while maintaining high-quality standards.
Familiarity with heavy civil bidding processes using HeavyBid or similar estimating software.
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams including subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and internal staff in a fast-paced environment.
Deep understanding of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, contracts administration, and construction safety regulations.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
Prior experience working on regulated environments requiring strict compliance with industry standards for data center facilities or similar critical infrastructure.
