Full Job Description

Trustaff is seeking an experienced Outpatient Occupational Therapist (OT) for a 13-week travel assignment in Lake Worth, Florida. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic outpatient orthopedic setting while enjoying Florida's beautiful beaches, warm weather, and vibrant coastal lifestyle.

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join an outpatient orthopedic team. In this role, you'll evaluate and treat patients with upper extremity, orthopedic, post-surgical, and musculoskeletal conditions, helping them regain independence and return to work, daily activities, and the hobbies they enjoy.

Assignment Details

Location: Lake Worth, FL
Position: Occupational Therapist (OT)
Setting: Outpatient Orthopedics
Weekly Pay: Up to $2,408
Shift: Days
Hours: 40 hours per week
Duration: 13 weeks

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and functional limitations
Treat orthopedic, upper extremity, hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder, and post-surgical conditions
Implement therapeutic exercise programs, manual therapy, functional training, and activity modification strategies
Fabricate and fit custom splints and orthotics as needed
Educate patients on injury prevention, ergonomics, joint protection, and home exercise programs
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to optimize outcomes
Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and support staff to coordinate patient care
Meet clinic productivity and quality standards

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Current Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain Florida licensure)
Current BLS/CPR certification
Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
