Part-Time Computer Science Instructor | Coding Instructor | STEM Instructor | Robotics Instructor – iCode Southlake

Southlake, TX
Part-Time | Flexible Hours (Weekdays (mostly late afternoon), Weekends, Summer)
$12–$18/hour (based on experience) + Paid Training + Growth Opportunities

Looking for a part-time coding job, STEM instructor role, or computer science teaching position that actually builds your resume? At iCode Southlake, you’ll gain real experience teaching coding, robotics, game development, and cybersecurity concepts while working with motivated students.

What You’ll Do (Coding Instructor / STEM Instructor Role)

Teach coding, computer science, and STEM classes to students (ages 5–18)
Support projects in Java, Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Roblox, Unity
Help students with game development, robotics, and problem-solving
Break down technical concepts into simple steps
Act as a mentor, tutor, and instructor
Additional responsibilities:
Track student progress and provide feedback
Communicate updates to parents
Maintain a structured, engaging classroom environment

Required / Preferred Skills (Computer Science Focus)

We are hiring candidates with experience in:

Programming Languages: Java, Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS
Game Development: Roblox Studio, Unity, or similar
Cybersecurity fundamentals (networking, security basics)
Debugging, problem-solving, and logical thinking

Preferred:

Experience with Agile development or project-based work
Experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or coaching children as young as 5 years old
Personal or academic projects (GitHub, apps, games, etc.)

Ideal Candidate (CS Student / STEM Instructor)

High School Junior/Senior or College student pursuing: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Engineering or related field
Strong communicator who can explain technical concepts clearly
Dependable, professional, and comfortable working with students
Available for weekday (both during day and after-school) and/or weekend hours
