The candidate will be joining the Quantum System Architecture & Software team in the Intel Quantum Computing program.
Chief duties of this position include:
Leads the creation, implementation, and optimization of software codes specifically for Intel quantum hardware constraints.
Lead the research and development of quantum error correction protocols for fully fault tolerant quantum computing systems.
Explore the performance of technology alternatives, collaborating with algorithm and application researchers, software engineers and hardware engineers to explore hardware/software trade-offs in the implementation of quantum error correcting codes.
Collaborate closely with both quantum computing hardware and software teams
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field (plus 1+ years experience).
- Experience in designing quantum error correction protocols (1+ years).
- Demonstrated ability to deliver significant results in a multidisciplinary environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Quantum computing industrial experience (1+ years).
- Experience researching and developing QEC codes for specific hardware constraints.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $149,600.00-284,580.00 USD
