Microvellum Engineer
Architectural Wood Design, Inc. (AWD) is one of California's fastest-growing commercial architectural millwork manufacturers. We specialize in high-end custom millwork for hospitals, higher education, corporate offices, civic buildings, and other complex commercial projects.
We are seeking an experienced Microvellum Engineer who can hit the ground running and produce accurate, production-ready drawings for our manufacturing team.
What You'll Do
- Produce production-ready shop drawings and engineering using Microvellum.
- Engineer custom commercial millwork projects from approved shop drawings.
- Create machining programs and CNC-ready files.
- Ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and ready for manufacturing.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Drafting, Purchasing, and Production.
- Resolve engineering issues before they reach the shop floor.
- Maintain AWD engineering standards and best practices.
- Meet production schedules while maintaining exceptional quality.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Microvellum experience.
- Experience engineering commercial architectural millwork.
- Strong understanding of cabinet construction methods, hardware, and materials.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
- Experience preparing CNC-ready manufacturing data.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Experience with Innergy ERP.
- Experience in a production manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of AWI standards and commercial construction practices.

Pay: $23.00 - $33.00 per hour
