Full Job Description

Maintenance Electrician – 1st shift

De Nora Tech is seeking an electrician that is certified/licensed and has gained the necessary experience to independently install, maintain, and repair electrical systems according to codes and regulations. Must possess a deep understanding of electrical theory, safety protocols, and the National Electrical Code (NEC), use specialized tools to work on a variety of industrial projects. Responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, machinery, and equipment at our 110,000 square foot manufacturing plant in Mentor, Ohio. This role requires extensive electrical knowledge and hands-on experience working with industrial machinery, control systems, and electrical components to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Job Duties include:

Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacle, switch boxes, conduits, feeder, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
Plan for installation of new equipment; including building electrical service capacity, circuit branch evaluation, circuit breakers, transformers, wire sizes, disconnects requirements; up to 480 volts / 3-phase
Install and troubleshoot mechanical components including fasteners, power belting, pulleys, chain drives, shafting, dynamic shaft seals, bearings, lubricants, couplings, clutches, gear drives, speed reducers, and conveyor drive systems
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by coordinating preventive maintenance requirements for production machines; following diagrams, sketches
Assist maintenance inventory control person in maintaining an adequate inventory of electrical parts to minimize downtime on process equipment
Maintain knowledge of electrical code regulation changes
Adhere to plant safety procedures including but not limited to Lockout Tagout, Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, PPE; lead Lockout Tagout audits

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Knowledge of Automation including Control Panels, PLC concepts, VFD’s, Sensors, Data Recording
Knowledgeable in applicable electrical codes and regulations including National Electric Code, NFPA 70E, OSHA 1910
Understands schematics and other technical documents. Use electrical schematics to troubleshoot and repair equipment
Knowledgeable in troubleshooting and tuning gas burners. Knowledge of control mechanisms of the burners and burner systems, safety features, flame controls, and ability to rebuild burners.
Possess Industrial and business office ventilation and Industrial chemical processing environment knowledge
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is very helpful.

Experience:

10 – 15 years experience
Prior experience sourcing and managing subcontractors
Able to work on temperature controllers including PID tuning, calibration, installation

With a focus on safety and quality, you will contribute to a well-functioning manufacturing work environment, supporting our organization's operational goals and enhancing overall productivity.
