About the Role:

The Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution and completion of construction projects by providing comprehensive support to project managers and teams. This position is responsible for organizing project activities, maintaining schedules, and facilitating communication among stakeholders to keep projects on track and within scope. The Project Coordinator will manage documentation, track change orders, and assist in the preparation and updating of detailed project plans using specialized software. By closely monitoring deadlines and resource allocation, the coordinator helps mitigate risks and resolve issues promptly to avoid delays. Ultimately, this role contributes to delivering high-quality construction projects that meet client expectations and comply with industry standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in project coordination or administration within the construction industry.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project and other project management software tools.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Project Management (e.g., CAPM or PMP).
Experience with change order management and contract administration.
Familiarity with construction industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience working on large-scale commercial or infrastructure construction projects.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and monitor project schedules using Microsoft Project and other project management software to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Assist in the preparation, review, and distribution of project documentation including change orders, contracts, and progress reports.
Facilitate communication between project managers, contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure alignment and address any project-related concerns.
Track project milestones and deadlines, proactively identifying potential delays and working with the team to implement corrective actions.
Support project administration tasks such as maintaining project files, updating project plans, and managing procurement and resource allocation.

Skills:

The required skills such as Microsoft Project and project management software are essential for creating, updating, and tracking detailed project plans and schedules on a daily basis. Project coordination and administration skills enable the candidate to efficiently organize documentation, manage change orders, and facilitate communication among diverse project stakeholders. The ability to meet deadlines is critical in monitoring project milestones and ensuring timely delivery of construction phases. Managing projects requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and resource allocation, which helps maintain workflow continuity and mitigate risks.
