Must have BOM experience in a Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care Setting
Monthly collection BONUS

Lubbock LTC Nursing and Rehab in partnership with Century Rehabilitation, is seeking a personable and responsible Business Office Manager for our fast paced skilled nursing facility.

Join us and grow your skills as part of our caring and compassionate multidisciplinary healthcare team that is focused on enriching the lives of our patients every day.

Responsibilities include:

Records cash receipts in the proper company or resident account.
Maintains billing and financial information on resident business files.
Maintains resident trust accounts and balances monthly.
Accumulates records from the department managers and accomplishes the month-end closing, reporting all necessary information for the Corporate Office.
Performs and coordinates all collection efforts with the nursing home Administrator.
Maintains accurate records of payor sources, addresses, telephone numbers, etc.; explains bills to residents as necessary and maintains appropriate back-up records.
Maintains system for recording accounts receivables.
Knowledge of reimbursement system, allowable services and documentation required so billings are accurate.
Reconciles room and board to monthly census.
Maintains confidentiality of all information.
Monthly Triple Check
Screens Medicaid Pending and completes application for submission to HHSC
Maintains effective communication with residents, families, facility staff and business office staff members
Must be able to meet strict deadlines for billing and reporting
Strives to meet company DSO and collection goals every month
Complete I-9 and E-verify with new hires within first 3 days of employment
Submit and track online applicant background investigation requests to include appropriate state and/or nationwide criminal background check, OIG checks, EMR checks, license verification, etc.
Enter missed punches into time and attendance system on a daily basis
Review payrolls and timesheet entry each pay period

Qualifications:

Previous Business Office Manager experience in a skill nursing facility required
Experience with medical records or payroll in a health care setting
A high school diploma or equivalency certificate
Strong computer and typing skills a must
Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations
