Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse specializing in Pain Management to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various nursing practices, particularly in pain management, and will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care. This role requires excellent clinical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine pain levels and treatment effectiveness.
Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients experiencing acute and chronic pain.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV infusions and injections.
Monitor patients for adverse reactions and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize treatment strategies.
Educate patients and their families about pain management techniques, medication administration, and self-care strategies.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Participate in case management activities to ensure continuity of care.
Stay current with best practices in pain management, including the use of the most current interventional pain management procedures available.

Requirements

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Strong clinical skills including IV insertion, suturing, and vital signs assessment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations including those with developmental disabilities or memory care needs.
Basic life support certification; advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS are a plus.
Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations and physical examinations while adhering to aseptic techniques.
