Full Job Description

Accounts Receivable Specialist

KD Panther Inc. is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for managing customer accounts, processing and tracking receivables, following up on outstanding balances, and helping maintain accurate financial records.

We are looking for someone who is organized, comfortable communicating with customers regarding payment, and able to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounts receivable activities and customer accounts
Generate, review, and distribute customer invoices
Post and apply customer payments accurately
Monitor aging reports and identify past-due accounts
Contact customers regarding outstanding invoices and payment status
Follow up consistently on delinquent accounts and document collection activity
Research and resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, and account issues
Process customer credits and account adjustments as authorized
Reconcile customer accounts and payment records
Maintain accurate notes and supporting documentation for customer accounts
Respond to customer questions regarding invoices, statements, and account balances
Work with operations and other departments to resolve billing issues
Assist with month-end accounts receivable reconciliation and reporting
Maintain organized electronic and/or physical AR records
Provide management with updates regarding significantly past-due or problematic accounts

Qualifications

Previous accounts receivable, billing, bookkeeping, or collections experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable making collection calls and following up with customers
Ability to prioritize multiple accounts and deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, email, and general office software
Experience with accounting or invoicing software preferred
Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling financial information
Dependable, professional, and able to work independently

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is proactive and persistent without sacrificing professionalism. We need someone who doesn't simply identify an overdue invoice but actively follows through, communicates with the customer, documents the account, and works toward resolution.

Experience working with commercial or business-to-business (B2B) accounts is a plus.
