Location: Hesperia / Oak Hills (Moving to Apple Valley)

Pay: Competitive, DOE + Overtime

About AmeriBrade

AmeriBrade is a rapidly growing precision manufacturing company serving the aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. We specialize in complex machining, fabrication, and production manufacturing for customers who demand quality and quick turnaround.

We currently operate between our Hesperia facility and our Oak Hills shop, which provides additional machining capacity. We are in the process of expanding into a new manufacturing facility in Apple Valley over the coming months, and we're looking for great people who want to grow with us.

Position

We're looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Setup Machinist to take ownership of our lathe department.

This is not a button-pushing position. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, taking pride in their work, and running quality parts with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC lathes (Fanuc controls, Takisawa Machines)
Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
Perform first article and in-process inspections
Select tooling and workholding
Make program and offset adjustments as needed
Work with our programming team to improve cycle times and manufacturing processes
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Take ownership of quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

5+ years CNC lathe setup experience preferred
Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
Experience machining aluminum, stainless steel, and alloy steels
Ability to inspect your own work
Positive attitude and dependable attendance
Able to work independently and communicate well with the team

Preferred Experience

Fanuc controls
Live tooling
Mill-turn experience
Aerospace machining
Process improvement
