Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Worker to join our manufacturing team. This role involves working on various fabrication projects, primarily within construction and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have experience with welding, blueprint reading, and the use of hand and power tools. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where mechanical knowledge and attention to detail are essential for success.

Duties

Operate and set up fabrication equipment in accordance with project specifications.
Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW welding to produce high-quality metal components.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise fabrication.
Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal, ductwork, piping, and other metal components following ASME codes & standards.
Conduct rigging and crane operations safely for material handling and assembly tasks.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment for fabrication tasks.
Perform pipe threading, soldering, mechanical assembly, and related tasks as required.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
Assist with schematics interpretation and ensure compliance with engineering standards during fabrication processes.

Skills

Construction site experience preferred; familiarity with construction safety standards is a plus.
Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding, plasma cutting techniques.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment.
Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes including pipe threading and assembly.
Experience operating cranes, forklifts, press brake machines, or other heavy machinery is advantageous.
Strong understanding of ASME codes & standards applicable to fabrication work.
Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations involved in fabrication tasks.
Knowledge of ductwork installation and manufacturing processes is beneficial. This role requires a dedicated individual with a strong work ethic who can contribute effectively within a team environment while maintaining safety standards at all times.

Pay: $24.00 - $40.00 per hour
