Now Hiring: CONTRACT PART-TIME **FACILITIES SIDE** Surgical Medical Records Coders – Orthopaedic Specialty Preferred

Location: Remote
Position Type: Part-time/Contract Coding Position

**Must have 3M ENCODER EXPERIENCE AND BE PROFICIENT.**

We are a National Coding Company seeking an experienced and certified Outpatient Surgical Medical Records Coder to join our established team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, results driven environment, and has expertise in surgical coding within the orthopaedic specialty.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately assign CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for orthopaedic surgical procedures, office visits, and related services.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, and coding best practices.
Review operative notes, medical records, and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Collaborate with surgeons, clinical staff, to resolve coding queries and improve documentation quality.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA compliance standards.
MUST HAVE FACILITIES SIDE CODING EXPERIENCE.
MUST BE A CERTIFIED CODER WITH 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE.
MUST HAVE YOUR OWN COMPUTER AND MONITORS.
MUST HAVE 3M PROFICIENCY.

Qualifications:

Certification required (one): RHIT, RHIA, CPC, CCS, CPC-P, or CCS-P (AAPC or AHIMA).
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years surgical coding experience (orthopaedics preferred).
Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy, surgical techniques, and orthopaedic procedures.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in coding assignments.
Ability to work independently and meet productivity and accuracy benchmarks.
3M Encoder Experience a must.
