Job Description:
Entry-level position with a full-service architectural firm located in downtown Canton, serving Northeast Ohio for over 100 years. Our firm has extensive experience in the design and engineering of educational facilities, public facilities, municipal centers, community centers, technical facilities, non-profit and community agencies, medical and dental clinics, stadiums, recreational and athletic centers, industrial/warehouses, and administrative spaces, as well as master planning of projects, site development, and public spaces.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Preparation of architectural drawings and design presentations
- Meeting and communicating with project manager regularly
- Conduct basic code research and assist with permit documentation and submittals
- Coordinating with internal team members and external consultants
- Project Administration
- Assist with managing project schedules
- Field measuring and documentation
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding analytical and critical thinking ability
- Attention to detail and follow-up skills
- Ability to multi-task between projects
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities
- Willingness to learn and interest in developing technical detailing skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and follow direction from senior staff
- Progress toward Architectural Registration encouraged but not required
Education and Experience:
- Professional Degree in Architecture (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree)
- 0-3 years of professional architectural experience; internships or co-ops are a plus
Schedule/Work Environment:
- 8am – 5pm Monday-Friday
- Business casual dress code
