Full Job Description

Job Summary
The Chemist I is a permanent, full-time position used by various agencies throughout the state. Positions are located throughout the state. This is professional work in the chemical analysis and examination of a wide variety of substances and materials in state laboratories.

Responsibilities

Process specimens/samples for testing
Test specimens/samples so that accurate results are obtained
Record, report, and maintain results and documents
Perform/document quality control, function checks, and preventive maintenance
Request and prepare media/reagents/supplies

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
