Position Summary
The Production Team Leader, Fiberglass/ Lamination is responsible for leading daily lamination and composite manufacturing operations while ensuring safety, quality, and production efficiency. This role combines hands-on technical expertise in fiberglass (FRP) processes with strong frontline leadership. The Team Leader oversees a production crew of 15-20 team members, producing commercial -grade fiberglass vessels drive continuous improvement, and ensures alignment with company production goals and standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and oversee day-to-day lamination and fiberglass production operations across all assigned projects.
· Develop and execute production plans aligned with company objectives, timelines, and quality standards.
· Provide hands-on technical guidance in mold-based fiberglass construction and FRP processes.
· Train, coach, and develop team members to improve performance, skill progression, and reduce rework.
· Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment, including proper PPE usage.
· Monitor and enforce quality control processes to ensure all products meet company standards.
· Manage labor, materials, tools, and equipment to optimize efficiency across production lines.
· Maintain and update production tracking systems (e.g., MeisterTask) for all active projects.
· Anticipate production challenges and proactively collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and other departments to resolve issues.
· Communicate daily production goals, schedules, and progress updates to leadership and stakeholders.
· Oversee tool inventory and ensure availability of required materials and equipment.
· Evaluate team performance and support development through skill qualification systems.
· Drive development, compliance, and continuous improvement of SOPs and production processes.
· Support onboarding and training new team members.
Qualifications Required:
· Proven experience in fiberglass, lamination, or composite manufacturing (FRP).
· Demonstrated leadership experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
· Strong understanding of quality standards and production workflows.
· Ability to read, interpret, and communicate technical instructions and specifications.
· Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Preferred:
· Prior experience as a team leader or supervisor in composites manufacturing.
· High school diploma or associate degree.
· Experience collaborating with engineering and cross-functional teams

Reporting Structure
This role reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
