Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized full time Paralegal / Office Manager to join our busy and well-establish criminal defense law practice. This pivotal role combines comprehensive legal support with efficient office management, ensuring smooth daily operations while providing expert assistance. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess a passion for delivering exceptional administrative and legal support in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
Maintain attorney calendars and monitor court appearances and filing deadlines.
Communicate professionally with clients, courts, prosecutors, law enforcement agencies, and opposing counsel.
Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files.
Request, receive, and organize discovery materials and records.
Prepare client invoices and assist with billing administration.
Answer telephones and assist clients with inquiries.
Provide administrative and clerical support to attorneys as needed.

Qualifications

Prior legal assistant or paralegal experience preferred.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office technology.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Experience with criminal defense or litigation is a plus but not required.
