Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trained Medication Aide to join our dedicated care team. In this vital role, you will assist with medication administration and support residents’ daily health needs in a compassionate and professional manner. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors by ensuring safe, accurate medication delivery and personalized care.

Responsibilities

Administer prescribed medications to residents following established protocols and physician orders
Monitor residents for adverse reactions or side effects during medication administration
Document all medication activities accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic
Assist with daily resident care routines, including vital signs, hygiene, and mobility support
Collaborate with nursing staff to report changes in residents’ health status or behaviors
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect residents’ privacy and confidentiality
Support residents with specialized needs such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, memory care, hospice, or other senior care requirements

Skills

Proven experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments
Knowledge of medication administration procedures
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic for accurate medical documentation
Ability to perform tasks such as tube feeding, catheter care, vital signs measurement, and other patient care activities
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical records management
Compassionate caregiving skills with experience supporting individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and residents

CURRENT OPEN POSTINGS:

48 hours per pay period =evening (2pm - 10pm)
Open shifts are able to be picked up above a signed posted block of hours
