Are you ready for a change to an office that encourages growth and learning and hands on experience?
Education opportunity for the right candidate. If you are interested in becoming a licensed Animal nurse (Veterinary Technician), currently in school working towards Veterinary Technician, then we offer tuition assistance for the right candidate.
We are a fast-paced Veterinary Clinic located on Telegraph Road just between Flat Rock and Newport. We are looking for an entry level candidate who learns fast, has high energy, listens well and can follow instructions exactly as given. You need to be willing to work hard, be honest and have great common sense as well as communication skills.
As entry level we will start you out cleaning kennels, move up to doing baths and holding, then learn to trim nails, clean ears, and administer vaccines all under doctors’ supervision. We then move up to assisting in surgeries and tons more. Your advancement is based on how well you listen and learn. Our doctor will teach you and if you can do it exactly as taught repeatedly, then you will advance quickly. As you advance you get paid more. The entry level with no experience starts at 13.75 but will increase in 90 days if you have advanced in learning. If you have experience pay is negotiable. This is hard but rewarding work. After 90 days, we give significant discounts on your own pet care, matching retirement, dental, and vision insurance. After one year you get paid holidays and one-week paid vacation. If you are going into Veterinary Nursing School, there can be tuition assistance after one year too. There are so many other benefits too like our uniform allowance. This is an excellent starting point for someone interested in Veterinary medicine whether you want to be a veterinary nurse or doctor.
We set up 4 hour working interviews - you will come in, dressed in scrubs or business attire (no jeans), and meet the doctor, watch what we do and see if this is a fit for you.
Must pass a drug test. MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION! Please send a resume.
