Job Summary
Wellspring Fields is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Trim Room Specialist to join our post-harvest team. This entry-level position plays a vital role in preparing high-quality cannabis products for packaging and distribution. The Trim Room Specialist is responsible for hand-trimming dried and cured flower, packaging finished cannabis products, maintaining product quality, minimizing waste, and ensuring compliance with all state regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Hand-trim dried cannabis flower efficiently while maintaining exceptional product quality.
- Package finished cannabis products in accordance with company procedures and Ohio cannabis regulations.
- Accurately weigh, sort, package, label, and document finished product and by-products.
- Inspect packaged products to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance prior to distribution.
- Minimize waste and maximize usable product during trimming and packaging operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.
- Follow all post-harvest procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality control standards.
- Operate manual equipment such as transport carts and portable platforms safely and in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Operate post-harvest equipment, including sorting, trimming, and rendering machines.
- Demonstrate accuracy when using scales, weights, and measurements.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies, security procedures, dress code requirements, and state cannabis regulations.
- Perform other post-harvest duties as needed, including bucking, labeling, order fulfillment, and inventory preparation.
- Take direction from supervisors and team leads with a positive attitude and adapt quickly to changing production needs.
- Receive and apply constructive feedback to improve quality, consistency, and efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals while supporting a positive, respectful workplace.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- First Shift
- Monday – Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (or until daily production is complete)
Qualifications
This is an entry-level opportunity, and no prior cannabis industry experience is required. We are looking for individuals who are dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to pass an Ohio BCI and FBI background check in accordance with Ohio cannabis regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Demonstrated ability to take direction, follow established procedures, and work effectively under supervision.
- Willingness to accept constructive criticism, implement feedback, and continuously improve performance.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Basic math skills and the ability to accurately use scales and measurements.
- Ability to maintain accuracy and consistency while trimming, weighing, and packaging product.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to assist wherever needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks.
- Frequent use of hands, wrists, and forearms for detailed trimming and packaging work.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, and reach as needed.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Good close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision.
- Ability to maintain focus on repetitive, detail-oriented tasks throughout the workday.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in cannabis cultivation, trimming, harvesting, post-harvest processing, or packaging.
- Warehouse, manufacturing, agricultural, or production experience.
- Familiarity with inventory handling, packaging procedures, and standard warehouse practices.
