Full Job Description

Grow Together Therapy is a Michigan virtual therapy practice hiring fully licensed LMSWs (1099) who want clinical work without building a private practice from scratch.

You see clients. We run practice ops.

Why clinicians join us

Pay is 60/40 of collected session revenue (1099) — not a fixed hourly W-2 wage. The Indeed range is an estimate; exact pay depends on payer mix and caseload.
1099 contractor role — you set your hours and caseload size
Fully remote telehealth from anywhere in Michigan (private, HIPAA-ready space required)
Part-time or full-time available
Practice handles intake, insurance credentialing, billing, and back-office
Referral support as we grow — you are not expected to market yourself
Clear growth path if you want more responsibility later

Who you'll work with

Kids, teens, and adults — tell us your preferred age bands and we'll match fit where we can

What you'll do

Individual outpatient psychotherapy via telehealth
Assessments, treatment plans, and timely documentation
Hold a consistent weekly schedule you choose
Stay responsive to the team on client fit and care continuity
Light check-ins — not endless agency meetings

Schedule and ramp-up

Part-time: about 8–15 sessions/week once ramped
Full-time: about 20–28 sessions/week once ramped
Credentialing comes first. If you're not already paneled with our payers, insurance credentialing typically takes 60–90 days from the day we submit. You can't bill those plans until it clears, so plan on this being a side income that starts slow — not an immediate replacement for current work.
After credentialing clears, caseload typically builds over 4–8 weeks as referrals match to your availability and age bands.
Already credentialed with some of our payers? Tell us on the application — you may start sooner.

Must-haves

Active, unrestricted Michigan LMSW (fully licensed — not LLMSW for this posting)
Active professional liability (malpractice) insurance — you carry your own policy
Comfortable with telehealth + private workspace + reliable internet
Solid documentation habits and ethical clinical judgment
Able to work independently as a 1099 while staying team-responsive

Nice-to-haves

Experience across child, adolescent, and/or adult outpatient care
Trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, or school/family systems experience
Interest in growing into leadership over time

Bad fit if you want zero documentation, an overnight full caseload guarantee, income starting immediately, or to run your own billing/credentialing.
