Full Job Description

Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technologist (PRN)

Florida | PRN - On-call | In-Person

At The Cardiovascular Center of Florida, we are dedicated to providing high-quality cardiovascular care in a collaborative outpatient environment. We are currently seeking an experienced Echocardiography / Vascular Ultrasound Technologist to join our cardiovascular imaging team.

This position is ideal for a skilled sonographer who enjoys working in a fast-paced clinical setting and is passionate about delivering excellent patient care and diagnostic imaging services.

Position Summary

The Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technologist performs cardiac and vascular ultrasound imaging procedures to support outpatient cardiovascular care. This role works closely with physicians and clinical staff to support efficient imaging workflows and a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

Perform echocardiograms and vascular ultrasound studies in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
Prepare and educate patients prior to imaging procedures
Obtain high-quality diagnostic ultrasound images and measurements
Assist with stress echocardiography procedures as needed
Document imaging findings accurately within the electronic health record system
Collaborate with cardiologists and clinical staff to support patient care workflows
Maintain imaging equipment and support quality assurance procedures
Maintain professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail in a fast-paced outpatient environment
Support patient privacy, safety, and confidentiality standards

Qualifications

Associate’s degree or completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program required
Active RDCS, RCS, RVT, or RVS credentials required
Minimum 2 years of echocardiography or vascular ultrasound experience preferred
Experience with outpatient cardiovascular imaging preferred
Active BLS certification required
Strong technical scanning and patient care skills
Experience with electronic health record systems preferred
Strong communication and teamwork abilities required
