Job Overview

Procurement Transplant Coordinator II (RN)

Location: Bakersfield, CA
Facility: Onelegacy
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7 shifts per 2-week pay period, alternating weekends)
Salary: $141,974 - $156,549 per year (DOE)

Position Summary:

The Procurement Transplant Coordinator II (PTC-II) is responsible for managing all aspects of the organ donation process from donor referral through organ recovery. This includes direct donor patient care, physiologic management, organ allocation coordination, family support, documentation, and collaboration with hospitals, physicians, and transplant centers.

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical & Donor Management

Manage authorized organ donors in ICU and recovery center settings.
Assess, stabilize, and optimize donor organ function.
Develop and implement donor treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and medical directors.
Coordinate donor management, organ allocation, and recovery logistics.
Monitor hemodynamics, pulmonary function, and overall donor care.

Family Support

Support donor families throughout the donation process.
Obtain authorization for donation in accordance with applicable regulations.
Collaborate with family support teams and hospital staff.

Organ Recovery & Coordination

Coordinate multi-organ procurement procedures.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and organizational requirements.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and electronic records.
Collaborate with transplant centers, coroners, physicians, and hospital teams.

Required:

Graduate of an accredited Nursing (RN) program.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum 2 years of Critical Care, ICU, and/or Emergency Room experience.
Current BLS certification.
Ability to obtain ACLS and PALS certification during orientation.
Ability to travel throughout the designated service area.
